Mill Woods Home Styles 

Mill Woods is comprised of a diverse array of home styles, flexible to every lifestyle, budget and taste. These include single-family homes, which account for just under half of all styles in the area, many of which consist of ranch-style homes and bungalows, multi-level split properties, front-attached two-storey models, and more. Most of the area’s older properties, built between the mid-1980s and early 2000s, have been upgraded to include the desirable features and finishes today’s Edmonton buyers are looking for.

Mill Woods Neighbourhoods 

Although Mill Woods’ development began in the early 1970s, residential development didn’t start in the area until the 1980s. During the next few decades, growth in the area exploded, expandingy to include the over two dozen neighbourhoods we know today.

Mill Woods houses numerous schools and educational opportunities for children of all ages and learning preferences. Commuting From Mill Woods

Mill Woods is defined by several major thoroughfares, including the south Anthony Henday, Whitemud Drive, 66th Street (Wayne Gretzky Drive) and 50th Street, 34th Street and 23rd Ave. Calgary Trail and Gateway Boulevard also sit just a short distance away, providing a streamlined commute to downtown Edmonton (20 minutes north) and the Edmonton International Airport (20 minutes south).

Extremely walkable and transit-friendly, Mill Woods offers commuters a variety of stops and routes throughout the area. The area is also home to the city’s new Valley LRT line, which runs from Mill Woods to west Edmonton.
